Microsoft is taking on Google and Yahoo! with a new campaign advertising “search.” They’re about to spend $80 million in advertising “Bing!”
Where did Microsoft find the name Bing? Looks like they were inspired by the character Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day. Or perhaps Microsoft just likes to run up the bill ala Monty Python’s delivery room parody? The most expensive and useless machine in the hospital (itemized on your bill) – The Machine That Goes “Bing!”
