That something has got to be WiMax. If this latest batch of rumors pans out, Apple will embed WiMax, a long-range, high-speed wireless broadband technology in an ultraportable 13-inch notebook computer. It’s highly possible that Apple will extend WiMax throughout the entire line of MacBook Pro.
Valleywag’s source gave it a 60% chance of coming through. Images of Apple’s banners inside the Moscone center with “2008. There’s something in the air” slogan suggests that whatever Steve is announcing at Macworld Keynote next Tuesday has something to do with wireless technology.
